Direct Primary Care is a healthcare model where you pay your doctor directly through a monthly membership fee—no insurance billing, no surprise costs. This allows for longer visits, better access, and truly personalized care.
Your monthly membership covers:
- Unlimited office or telemedicine visits
- Direct access to Dr. Megan Shirley via phone, text, or email
- In-office blood draws
- Preventive, chronic, and acute care
- Help with prior authorizations and insurance-required documentation
- In-office procedures at no extra cost (including but not limited to medication injections, suturing, minor procedures, and cryotherapy)
- Coordination of specialist care if needed
No—DPC offers many of the same benefits (longer visits, direct access), but without the high fees typically associated with concierge practices. It’s designed to be more affordable and accessible.
While we don’t bill insurance, you can still use it for things like:
- Medications at the pharmacy
- Specialist visits
- Labs or imaging performed outside our office
We can draw labs in-office and send them to your preferred lab. For imaging or specialists, we’ll work with you to coordinate care and send all necessary records. If a prior authorization is needed, we’ll handle that too.
Yes. As a board-certified internal medicine physician, Dr. Shirley manages chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD, GI disorders, skin and joint issues, mental health concerns, and more. You’ll receive both comprehensive treatment and prescription support.
As a member, you’ll have direct access to Dr. Shirley via phone, text, or email for urgent concerns—even after hours. Many issues can be handled remotely without needing an ER or urgent care visit.
We offer two simple options:
- 12-Month Contract: $150/month
- 6-Month Contract: $175/month
There is no separate sign-up fee. Contracts are either 6 or 12 months. Early cancellation may incur a fee per the membership agreement.
Whole Human Health is ideal for adults seeking personalized, accessible care—insured or not. We remove co-pays, deductibles, and approvals for basic services. All office visits and in-office procedures are included in your monthly fee. We’ll help you navigate care, coordinate specialists, and provide cost-effective solutions if you're uninsured.
